Pictures of your F250 Winches!

I'm looking into mounting a Warn winch on my 2009 F250. What size Warn winch do you recommend (and i'm not interested in any other brands... always been a Warn fan). My initial thought is the WARN 16.5ti.

Post pictures of yours!

Taken from Warn's site, the winch you're considering, on a new Super Duty

the Warn 16.5 is the one I would go with, no less. You don't want to run the risk of overworking it. My truck comes in at 8100 lbs. Would be considerable more than that if buried in mud.

I've got a 12,000 warn and bumper that I bought used and overall I'm pretty happy with it. I don't really "wheel" the superduty, so hopefully I won't get the truck stuck enough to warrant a bigger winch. I've got a snatch block in the toolbox that I could use if I really needed it.

Overall I mainly use it to winch and drag things other than the truck, although when it's really pulling I've had to anchor it to keep it from dragging all four tires

my first vehicle with a winch was a Jeep Grand Wagoneer (the last full sized jeep) with a Bellvue 6000 series winch on it. Warn bought out that company, It was a precourser to the 8274. I picked up a HS9500i for my wrangler. It isn't half the winch that the old bellvue was.

were I you, I'd get the 8274. with the extra speed, you'll be able to run a doubler pully if you ever need it, but I doubt you will. Planetary gears are better than worm gears, but the spur grears on the 8274 are the best you can get

I am going to put a Warn 16.5ti inside my Warn bumper, when I get the money.
