did a couple things over the weekend

well i started messin with my truck this weekend at my buddys and it just so happened that he had a set of brand new blue led headlights that fit my truck so i through those in and love them at night next i thought my fuel wasnt exactly right so i pulled my spring out on my fpr and it was bent a little bit so i straightened it out and put it back in so that was good got my fuel pressure back then i was cleanin my intake y pipe and noticed that our y pipes have some nasty factory tubes hangin out further than they should so i ported it out under the supervision of my buddy who has the p&p tools but a dremel would work so i opened it up quite a bit and got a nice swirl to it and then i hooked up a amp and sub that he had in his garage as well so i can crank them country tunes up loud yea hes a good friend and as i pulled my truck out of his garage i had no brakes wtf isnt it ironic how you do good things to your truck somethin immediately goes wrong well my vaccum pump died so that cost me 98$ and a headache cuz one of the bolts were stripped out 15 minute job took an hour sorry for the long post

i just ported it out it didnt take long at all if you take it off and look in it the tubes run about a half inch past where they shold in parts just grind them down and it opens the hole quite a bit and on the tubes that hook to the plenum they are recessed out a lillte bit run grind those so they are smooth to the touch of your finger i havent drove it hard yet i doubt it helped much but peace of mind and 'free and easy down the road i go'

I am betting my pump is probably going.
I should keep an eye out for one.
My brakes should be super good
but it feels like they are barely there. heh.

see them 3 bolts behind the pulley???? yaa they gotta come outta there. then you gotta pull the pulley off the pump and put the pulley on the new pump of course and put the pump on the truck. pretty simple job.

Simple if you have a puller.

Just put the bolts back in the holes before you press the pulley back on.

yea, letting to much dust into the system allowing the knibbler valve to open up to much due to wear and throwing the wiggly pin outa alignment with the wobbler shaft which in turn throws out the vacuum pump

Jim you need to post up some pics of those new headlights. Especially at night to see how the leds look with the parklights on and then with the headlights.

I'm looking at buying some for a white truck with the chrome trim like yours and would love to have a visual!!
