they ended up costing me around $100. think it was around $60 for the cat. 2 top links then around $30 for the 21' stick of pipe. then you figure in paint and stuff so yeah probably around $100 to get 'em done up pretty good.

Have you tried them out real good yet?
I would think a bit of weld on the bracket on the axle would help. Looks like it may want to slide around axle.
I would also think about adding some bracing to the front bracket as well.
It may be just me but I like to be sure.

Good looking job. Congrats.

Neal, does 3rd gear donuts this morning count??? LoL. yes i have tested them out many different ways. i still get a small amount of HOP. no wrap at all on the drag strip from what my brother said. i had him watch the rear end on my launches just to make sure. still trying to figure out what i want to do different to make it stop hopping. i'm probably going to throw a tack weld on each one of those rear brackets someday, but i am not seeing any signs of them moving yet. i was going to add a brace to the top of the front brackets, but i ran out of time before that drag race we went to so it is what it is for now. LoL. i had a few people wanting to know how i did them a week or so ago so i posted these up so they can ask whatever questions they think they need to

You should cut a triangle wedge for the top of those front brackets and weld them up there. one on the front and back, so you can run bolts in the middle.

Why did you not bolt them to the frame anyways?

Ooops. Didn't read the posts.

Yea. you should have them on there.

no idea on the hop.

I was thinking about using some new style front radius arms like are on the 02 for the rears.
I'd have to look.
I'm not a big fan of traction bars, but axle roll = bad.

then get the caltracs.....

i didn't bolt to the frame b/c of all the dang fuel lines are right there on the driver side and the fuel tank too. i didn't wanna drop the tank and all that just to throw a few bolts in there. much easier to just weld them and if i have to take them off i have a plasma torch so it will only take me a matter of seconds to have each side off. LoL.

Shoulda moved the fuel lines down, drilled the hole.
Pushed the bolt though and tacked it to the outside frame rail so it woudlnt' spin. =)
I dont recall how close the tank is though right there.

Pictures look great! Gives me a better idea of how to make them now. I think I'll make some for my truck sometime in the near future.

thanks guys. these are just temporary though. i'm eventually going to build up some ladder bars though. that is kinda why i didn't want to weld brackets to the rear end. i'm going to try to cut out cody's DRD logo out of sheet metal to put on the bars if he will let me do it. i think it would look pretty sharp that way too. LoL.
