So, you're telling us that it's Dan's fault. Again?

Yup, that's the truth of it...!

Welcome Mike! Glad to see you found you way down here to us...

I still haven't had a chance to get to the wrecking yard to check for a factory linkage that will work for you. This is what I was looking for that day in Woodland:

Amazon.com: Mr. Gasket 3811G Ball Joint Quick Disconnect Carburetor Linkage Component-Two Per Set: Automotive

It would require removing the balls that are on the carb and throttle now and then simply cutting a piece of all-thread to length and installing it all. Not too bad a job, but if we can find one that will fit the linkage balls that are already on there, it's even easier...

"alot" is not a word...

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

micklskot is starting off with a positive reputation.
Dan,

Just got back to Marysville after a trip to NM.

Thanks for keeping my linkage issue in mind. The setup you helped me with is working good. I'll see if I can keep looking around the area, too. I know a guy that works at the local parts store here who has had a few old ford trucks. I'll see if he can help me look around, too, for the linkage that will fit.

I sent you a PM about the sending unit.

Mike
