2010 Guages Sweep?

A few weeks ago upgraded to a 2010 4x4 Lariat Supercap. What a difference from my 01 which had a lot of miles.

One thing that I noticed, when starting the truck the guages always sweep to the right then back to the normal operating range. Is this normal on the 2010s? My 01 only did that when the battery was failing, or was run way down.

I think I remember reading that it's part of the self-diagnostic check it does of the guages and systems at start-up.

i dont know but my 10 does it too... gotta be normal i have seen other vehicles do it too

My 09 doesn't... in the past, the sweep typically is the sign of a dying battery...

i know my mom chrysler 300 does it. its part of the self diagnosis test at every start up.

09 no but the 10 yes... It is all of the Fords as my wife's Mustang does it also.
