Truck Pricing

So due to recent news.... I may have to sell my truck, I would like to know what you all think it is worth. Its really to soon to tell, but I may need the extra cash.

1988 Ford F-350

Engine:
460cu with 66k miles.

Transmission:
C6 rebuilt with under 1k.

Front Axle:
Dana 60 with new U-Joints.

Rear Axle:
Sterling 10.25 I have changed the yoke, but its stock.

U-Joints:
All stock size, but all new.

Audio:
Panasonic CD Player, Two 6x9 speakers in doors.

Interior:
Winch switch and light switch. Bucket seats swapped in.

Tires:
Over half worn, 37x12.50.16 SSR's mounted on American Racing 8 lug wheels. (Full size spare, with no tire.)

Off-Road Lights:
Cheapo off-road lights. Had them on my roll bar.

Bumpers:
Front custom bumper with winch mounting plates.
Rear custom bumper with plenty of beef.

Winch:
WARN winch. 150+ Ft of Cable.

Bed:
Originally had a utility box. Now has an 80's F-150 bed.

Two possible setups for the exhaust...

Exhaust #1:
Bolt on muffler, goes slightly past cab.

Exhaust #2:
Pipe bolts up and goes to the end of cab, then straight up. (Smoke Stack)

At the time being I have nothing bolted on, but either exhaust setup will bolt right on.

Well I can't think of anything else right now.. kind of alot on my mind. If you could, just give me a rough price what you think it may be worth.. Parting it out or full price?

Thanks....

With the economy, values are down for older rigs which I'm sure you know. I'd expect to pay around five grand for that out here in Oregon. What do you want to get out of it?

Sounds like a bad situation. Unfortunately in my area, these trucks do not bring the cheddar. I bought this one for 1100 bucks not long ago. Its an 89 with very similar stats:

Hmm. Well I figured my selling point would be the winch and bumpers. We'll see if it comes down to it.

I just have to wait.. wait.. wait..

Waiting is the hard part. >_<

Man that would suck to have to sell your truck. I feel for you man. Just my .2 cents, but I would think having a nice low-miles 460 and freshly rebuilt C6 would be a couple of good selling points. Around here that would also go for around $5000, maybe a little more.

Yup. It hurts.

I'm a little broken up right now. About everything.

Hopefully everything goes well.

Hope things get better for you. I have always regretted selling most of my trucks. Usualy see them going down the road a few months later, looking/running like crap because the POS that bought it has no pride in it

Well, I took a look in your gallery. I do not know what model that Warn is, but, it looks big. Sell it separate to get the most money, you will not get anything for it with the truck.

Right now trucks like yours on CL in Atlanta are selling for $1200-$1500. If you can show a rebuild from a shop with receipts and warranty that would go a long ways towards selling.

Looks like you are in a snow state, I would sell the winch first and then I would hold onto the truck until it snows and try for $1800. Big benefit when someone nukes theirs and yours is an automatic. Is it emission exempt and do you have a title? Big selling points.

If you listed it on E-Bay along with the engine compression test ratings you probably would do better.

Well thanks for the sympathy. I was thinking of selling my front bumper/winch alone because i've already been offered $700 for them awhile back.

Gee! I need to hang out in California when i have some extra money! A rust free truck like the one Ed posted could go for more then 1100 with no motor or tranny around here.

Prozon, around here I could see your truck go for about 4 grand if it's rust free. That's here and not where you are though. Hopefully you can find another way out of your situation without selling your toy. Maybe downgrade on the daily driver perhaps. I'd hate for you to kick yourself in the *** about it if you sold it when you could have maybe went another route. But do what you gotta do.

Well it looks like I may not have to sell it afterall.
(Thank God.)

The truck is rust free and has a "Satin White" paintjob.
I'm planning to repaint it gloss in the near future.

Its a decent paintjob not to scuffed up yet.
