Auto trans issue

Tonite I was getting my hunting truck ready for season. Changed oil and was checking the other fluids. She has been sitting most of the summer since I was using my motorcycle for transportation. Anyways, transflid was alittle low so I added, took it for a spin and lost all forward gear, luckly I was only a block and a half away and it was after midnite so I put it in reverse and went back home. Any ideas? Hoping I don't have to replace the tranny yet. My truck is a 95' F150 4x4 with the 4.9/auto.

Thanks,
kulprit

Was the transmission warm and the engine running in P or N when you checked the oil level in the transmission?
An over filled transmission can foam and then you can lose all forward gears.
Check the oil pressure in the transmission, if good then something is gummed up (filter, check ***** or passage ways) or you have a broken part in the transmission.

The truck was running for about 30 min (battery needed some charging) and then I took it for a 10 min run before checking it, did check it in N too. When I was on that 10 min run, just as I was turning the corner back to my house it seemed like it wanted to slip, that is why I checked it and added some. I'll have to check the level today once but not sure if I can get it out and warm if I can't go forward though.

I'll look into what you said though, thanks for the advice
