C-6 tranny leak

I got C-6 tranny in my 1978 f150 4x4 its got a 351m i noticed itwasleaking a good bit of fluid all the time checked the pan and all its soaked on the trans mount and around the pan looks like it is leaking from the top i heard that there is a tube on the top that if the preesure gets to high it leaks out of there any one have one do this what was the cause

if the fluid level is too high in the trans. it will leak out of the vent tube.

hasnt been high when it leaks it dosnt level out any just gets lower nd lower
