no, you have to match what your truck has. measure from center to center of 2 studs directly across from each other
Technically, it's not center to center on 5 lugs. You measure from the edge of one stud, skip one and measure to the center of the next one.
Even numbered patterns are measured center to center.
If I remember correctly, on the F100's with factory power brakes, it was 5 on 4.5" circle. F100's with manual brakes were 5 on 5.5" circle. I think (may be wrong) all F150's in the '80-'86 range were 5 on 5.5"
Someone can correct me if I got that wrong.

There is no such thing as a "short bed" pickup truck. If you can't put 4' x 8' sheet goods in the back and close the tailgate, IT'S NOT A TRUCK. Hell, I can put 4' x 8' sheets in the back of my minivan and close the hatch.
f100jim is 100% dead on. Power brake F100's have oddball brakes, rotors, etc, Manual brake trucks have standard F150 stuff.

So it depends on the the year, model,& type of brakes then: '80-'81 F100 :5 on 5.5" (manual brakes) '82-'86 F150 :5 on 4.5" (factory power brakes) Correct or vice versa

Vise versa.
And the 80-81 F-150's had 5x5.5 as well.
