Last week I was away from home and my 86 Bronco II would not start. A guy offered to jump me, when he tried to hook up the cables he tried to hook them up backward of course there was a large spark. He jerked the cables off. I never let anyone else hook them up, but. Anyway when I got home I checked the battery and it needed to be replaced. I got a new one and installed it. It started fine, but I noticed the amp gauge was not charging at all. The alternator was replaced last spring. What do I need to check first?
