DARN clutch is out again!!!!help!!

the slave is about 2 months old.. the master cyl is about a year old but has been sitting for a year i only used it about a total of 2 months of driving.. having allot of bad luck with the master.. changed 3 of them already when i was getting a new one napa ones

can anyone recommend me a heavduty/performance master cyl??

its like this it has pressure but not enough.. when you bleed it no air comes out only fluid but not with allot of pressure.. before when we bled it it sprayed on the chassis now its a weak stream to the ground..

clutch / ps is a zoom stage 1 also new.. slave cyl is also new

I just recently replaced my clutch master cylinder, so I don't know how durable it is yet. But I will say that when I pulled off the orginal from Ford, the "Brute Power" (borg warner?) looked exactly like it. I don't know if they bought the old plastic mold from Ford, or if they just make a really good knock off. The only difference that I saw is where there was a Ford logo on the original, the Brute Power had a raised up oval instead of the Ford logo. And when I bleed the clutch, the fluid sprays out pretty hard.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any firewall flex when you push in the clutch?

I don't know where my g/f left my digi cam, but as soon as I track it down I can get some pics. PM me your email because I don't know how to post pics on FTE.

FWIW, it's probably cheaper/easier to just buy the part from a dealership. I got mine for $4. Even if they mark it up a little it would still be worth to me lol. But it's up to you if you want to make your own.

FYI, This is a pic of the SMALL plate to stop firewall flexing.

For pic's of the large (whole firewall) plate search "Frankenstein drivetrain issues" . Tremclad has some great pics.

No, that is the Ford retrofit for a minimally damaged firewall.

You might look at this thread. It has all the part numbers for both setups.
