Dynomometer / scales in Detroit area

Do you know of businesses that offer Dynomometer services or scales in the Detroit are, hopefully closer to Dearborn? (I realize that they will be two different businesses)

I've making some mods to my SUVs engine and want to measure it. I will also be towing this summer and want to be sure that I get the weights right. Any information on either of these is appreciated.

Regards,
Paul

For scales just find a recycling center or a place you can take garbage to, they both have scales to measure the full/empty weight of the trucks. I went to a grabage center to have my Ranger weighed.

For a scale, an easier solution is a metals or plastics scrap yard. There are many in Detroit! Some really good guys are Sikora Metals off mt. elliot

Lightbulb Scale...

Are you looking for a "certified" scale???

I think there is one in Redford on the North side of Plymouth Road
between Beech-Daly and Telegraph...

Look for the cement trucks and the gigantic pile of broken concrete...

Just about any scale that you have to your disposal is going to be certified to be accurate by the state. They have to be calibrated to measure right, since they used them for trade and buying and selling goods. Kinda like a gas pump. Just a fyi.
