Sliding Door question

1996 aerostar extended van and the side sliding door that has the little metal connectors for the electrical things like the door chimes and power locks and whatever the little rounds metal tab broke off and the rest are not far behind,can your get these new or what?thanks for your help.

- I doubt that any place would have those tabs NEW.
The same thing happened to me, i don't know how but one fell off and I was getting a false DOOR AJAR light on my dash. My solution was to take a small piece of tin and bend it and jam it in the slot. Its been 5 years since I did it so it works for me, but feel free to put any type of conductor in there.

As stated above, I imagine these are discontinued items. However, you can pry the rubber grommet loose, extract the existing wiring and fabricate a new tab from thin sheetmetal, bottom of a metal coffee can, etc. Solder the new tab in place and re-insert in rubber grommet. For the remaining original tabs, you can simply move the grommet 90 degrees to furnish a newer contact surface. I pried mine up just slightly as well. Same goes for the contacts on both the door jamb and slider.

Those certainly look like they could be adapted to the application. It would take so wiring skill and some drilling. You will need to make sure the holes get properly sealed, but these contacts look like the way to go.
