Actually, believe it or not my truck does not lug as bad now (it will actually accelerate) when going just over 35 mph in overdrive, and it feels like it runs better on the highway. It may just be because it is smoother and doesn't sound like its struggling on the hills.

As of right now, there really are no plans for any more upgrades. I have done quite a few over the years. Right now I am more concerned about just keeping it running good.
I plan on replacing the 255 70 15 BFG Radial TA tires with Michelin LTX MS 30x9.50x15 when they wear out.
I am still contemplating what route to take when the time comes that the 302 needs help. It has almost 275k miles on it, but still runs great. Hopefully, it will be a long time until that happens. I was considering a Jasper engine with a cam upgrade, or a new engine from Ford. I like the idea of the better cam from Jasper. I don't think Ford offers that.

Does your truck sometimes lug until it goes into the passing gear?
Hey Bill,
I went with the long Magnaflow, part number 12388. It is just a tad quieter outside than the Flow 50 SUV, but inside the truck is much better. It has a deeper more mellow tone.
Its case is 5x8 inch and 24 inch long. The overall length is 30 inches.
I think that a short Magnaflow with both cats will be a bit too quiet for your liking.
I believe this Bronco is setup like that.
My friend had his truck that way for a while and it was quiet, but did sound good.
I think your best bet with both stock cats and the stock tail pipe with no tip is a glasspack. I would say an 18 inch one. With both of the cats, it won't really sound like a glasspack.
Earlier in this thread I mentioned that you could get what they call a torpedo pack. It has a Y attatched to the outlet. Thats about the only way to get sound when you have both cats and it will have a mellow sound. Just make sure you get the straight through one and not the one with louvered baffles. It is inexpensive. If I still had both original type cats, I would go with this setup.
Something like these. They are 3 inch in 2.5 dual out. Before buying one make sure its the right diameter in/out. You may need 2.5 in and 2.25 out or something along those lines.
I just did exhaust on my 94, has a stock 5.0. I put from the manifolds, 2.5 inch pipe into a "Y" pipe, that turned it into a single 3 inch. I put a Flow Pro Vforce muffler on, and a mandral 3 inch tail pipe. It sounded like crap. A,d thr drone in the cab was horible. I put a 18 inch glass pack on in front of the muffler last night, so I see how that sounds on the hwy later today.
Isn't the Flo Pro a generic Flowmaster knock off? I don't see why you would run 2 mufflers like that. I would just dump the flow pro and get one of those 30" glasspacks.

According to the flow charts, the Flow Pro's mufflers flow better than Flowmasters, also, don't flowmasters have 2 or three chambers in each muffler? I could be wrong...
