bumper specifications

i recently built a brush guard/grill guard for my truck. i put two solid 2 1/2" pipes where the bumper used to be. they extend to about where the head lights are. is this legal in michigan, or do i need something that stretches across the entire front end and wraps around?

thanks

tellico racing is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
bumper specifications

I would call the state police and ask them. Trucks may not need them at all,I know of several trucks that have no bumper on the front.
