I wish I could go, but that is the weekend before I go in for my surgery and I still have a ton of stuff I have to do before then. I will be thinking of you though.
I think I will try to get something together for next spring on an early weekend so we can all try to get together.
Is the DNR cracking down on the noise level? I know you have to have spark arrester mufflers on, but I heard they were doing the decible tests now too.I volunarily had my truck checked up there and it was a little too loud with my 3" exhaust and flowmaster mufflers,If they are cracking down then I need to build a dunes truck.

If DNR gives me trouble I will put a little steel wool in the tail pipe tips to quiet it down, but I think it will be ok.

I used to work at Duneland right by the dunes, and from what I remember, you have to have some kind of baffled muffler, and you have to be below (I think, emphasis on think) 95 decibals.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Oct-02 AT 09:49 AM (EST)]My 1979 p.o.ed the Ch*vy guys at the dunes. My truck would just climb those hills shooting 4 rooster trails all the way up and over the top. The che*ys all had to get running starts, except one guy that had paddle tires. I did do some miner damage when I got all 4 tires about 6 feet off the ground . I broke a suspension bump stop and bent a rear ladder bar, but I am not going to cry about bolt on accessories. That's all part off the fun.

If you can remember there was a grey 89 ford with an 8" lift and a black ch*vy with a 6" lift. what did you think about the ford(I was with those guys). By the way we will be up there the week of memorial day if you are interested in going. I think I saw one of your budies taking pics I was wondering if you could post any of them we didn't take very good ones.
