Where to get Duplicolor "High Heat" 1200 deg. paint?

I have noticed that Advance Auto Parts no longer carries this stuff, only the 500 degree paint. That sucks, because I loved the 1200 degree "Aluminum" paint, I used that to paint all kinds of stuff.

Do any stores still carry this? I don't have Pep Boys or O'Reillys or any of those around this area.

Have you tried their website? I think they have a source locator on it.

I think that the Advance here has some I will check it for you. Maybe I am mistaken and it is the 500* stuff

Eastwood (eastwood.com) has high temp coatings in gray, black, and silver.
Rated for 1200 degrees.

Just looked them up -- don't know anything about them. However, Eastwood usually has good stuff. Look in paint/underhood.

I'm sure Eastwood's stuff is great but I don't really care to pay $16.50 + shipping for a can of spray paint.

Ah I dunno, I might have to check at Napa, I know walmart's selection of automotive spray paints is usually terrible.

When I worked in the power plants we bought it from the Sherwin Williams paint store. Depending upon the amount and type of industry in your area it may be a stock item or a special order.

My local NAPA carries it. I just got a can about 2 months ago.

Check any Detroit Diesel places. They use Duplicolor for their engine paints. Last time I checked it was around $10.00 a can though.

Dupli-Color DH1606 - Dupli-Color High Heat Paint with Ceramic Resins - Overview - SummitRacing.com

FWIW, Dupli-Color is owned by Sherwin-Williams now, so any store should be able to get you what you want.

I have had mixed luck with this stuff, though. On my FE the exhaust runners in the head rusted, and gas does remove it.

MMMM...If Sherwin Williams owns Duplicolor, then I wonder if you can get it thru their stores and MAB stores cause they own MAB as well.
