I am getting my 67 F100 4wd in a couple weeks and am wondering who to take it to for the "sniffer" emissions test? What else do they check?
I am making a list of things to get fixed before I need to get it inspected.
The 77 I recently sold only needed the sniffer I personally live in Denver/ Thornton so I took it to the place up on 112th and they didnt need to put it on the rollers so the they just pull it in and stick the sensor in and do their thing. Youll most likely need to make sure you have your pcv valve in it. I ran straight breather when I wasnt trying to pass emissions other than that make sure your idle is set below 1500 RPM's as thats the limit, and that you have a good gas cap (seals for fumes), and if you had a cat make sure its there. Other than that just make sure it isnt smoking like its on fire, that it actually isnt on fire, and that's about it.
I live in Denver, so there is testing here... I realized I was asking a dumb question since the info is available online. I guess I am more looking for a place (private) that does it.
Your 67 is immaculate! Any old parts laying around?
Thanks! Yes I have tons of parts laying around. Lots of emblems, trim etc... I also have a builder shortbox bed that needs work. I've sold a bunch of stuff this summer.
