I have no idea. I am amazed that it actually works. I have been scouring local boneyards trying to find something to replace it. When they put the 351 in it, they took all the original stuff off and threw it away (I guess) its got an edelbrock 'StreetMaster' intake and the carb is just sitting on it with an adapter. I would like to find a nice 600cfm or so 4 barrel. This one is a 4 barrel, but the secondaries dont work, or it might be the primaries. It took me about an hour or so of adjusting it to get it to idle.

It looks like a Quadrajet, I was justcurious because my Holley works - sort of, and I had been contemplating the swap, but have not found anyone actually running one on a Ford.

I have had a couple of holleys in the past. The one thing that I like about the quardrajet is that once its setup you dont have to fiddle with it anymore. I have had several and a friends dad is a whiz when it comes to the quadra-bog, he can set it up right. The holleys always needed 'tweaking', well at least the ones I have had. I just want something dependable.

I haven't got any recent pics but here's a couple from earlier in the build. I still have to make the brackets for the air conditioner and hook up the heater hoses. I hope to get it running on gas in the near future so there'll be the regulator and adaptor for the carby to go in also.

The engine looks very nice! I envy your factory tool box and under hood worklight.

Thanks, man

It's a 400, rebuilding it was Summer 2008's project; .040 over, Edelbrock
Performer 400 manifold, Holley Truck Avenger 670 carb, TMI hypereutectic
pistons, mild head porting, Engle high-altitude RV cam, roller timing set,
long-tube headers, true duals, T-18, 4.10 limited slip rear end, I think that's
about it.

Still lots to be done, though; tranny & transfer case need attention, rear pinion
seal leaks, body has about had it (rust).

In time....
