It must have been in one heckuva wreck to knock the brake master and booster all the way over to the other side of the truck like that!!!

Y'all might be able to get ya' a BIG ol' come along and winch everything back in place.

...nice lookin' under the hood ... too pretty to be a mud truck!

Here is mine. And the first 6 Cyl posted here too. Nothing really exotic to look at, but thankfully I don't [i]have[i] to spend much time in there. I did replace the water pump and alternator. Today's project was replacing the old coolant/washer fluid reservoir jug with the new larger one. I've been slowly "cleaning" up underneath the hood. By that, I mean taping the wire bundles up and placing them inside the split loom tubing. Replaced the valve cover gasket and repainted the valve cover while it was off. Little things make a big difference in time. Most recently, I had replaced the air conditioning condensor, ALL the lines, and the accumilator. A/C is cold inside now!

You forgot upgrading the engine fan - that 4-blader is just tiny man, I'm surprised it can even keep up with such a big engine as yours...

But, ya know what? That thing seems to suck (quite literally) like there's no
tomorrow!

I replaced the radiator in '08 as part of the engine build process, also added the
clutch fan. When you start it up (with the hood closed) and hold a lit cigarette
within as far as 15" (eyeball measurements) away, it amazes me to see the air
currents getting sucked into the grille! The small fan doesn't seem to be a
problem at all - size doesn't matter.

Did the newer reservoir jug fit in the same slots as the old jug in your truck? And is it much larger than the older one?

Yes and no. I had to modify it slightly to get it to look just right. The "ear" at the front had to be sawed so that it would slide further into the front of the slot in the inside of the fender to where the bolt hole in the other "ear" would line up over the hole. Then, it stuck out a bit from the fender so I had to create some support from the rear. All tht I did was to take a galvanized carriage bolt and insert thru one of the many holes in the inside of the fender and then run a washer/lockwasher down on it. Next step was to cut off the bolt with a cut-off tool to where the new reservoir jug would sit level and then top it off with a vacuum plug.

This took maybe all of 15min to do start to finish at the most.

Here's a different view of the engine compartment. It's coming together. 408 stroker.
