Question anyone with diesle motor experience please read. 02 7.3L

hello, i am in need of some major help. first off i just inherited my dads f250 2002 truck. it has a 7.3 turbo diesle motor in it. it was not driven very much at all, and since i have been driving it i notice that when i pull into my driveway there is oil dripping from underneath. it will drip for about 30 seconds and mark an area about the size of a frizbee. when i looked underneath, at first glance it looks like the oil pan, but upon further review i noticed it is comming from higher up. if you are sitting in the drivers seat it would be leaking down the Right (passengers) side. i changed the fuel/water filter and i could see there is some oil up there as well. i do not know anything about a diesel motor, especially one with a turbo on it. i am going outside after this post to take some pictures. i have lots of expereince working on cars, and would like to fix this myself, however i know the people of this site have knowlege of diesel and can probably point me in the right direction. i will add a link to pictures on this same thread. please help. oh by the way. i had no idea a diesel was so much more fun to drive than an suv. i will always keep this truck since it was my dad's, however my next daily driver will be a diesel truck as well, i dont worry as much about accidents or getting run over in this thing. thanks in advance to any with help or ideas.

might be wise to try one of these areas.. since diesels are not usually a F150 subject.

check the plugs for the fuel pump, the o rings are probably leaking into the valley and dripping down the back of the block.
