sweetsride is starting off with a positive reputation.
i beam questions

was there any difference in camber on different years of I beams?
will the i beams from a 2wd f250 fits in a f150?
will the pre 80's i beams fit in the early 80's trucks?

Thanks, got a couple ideas brewing but need these questions answered

Kris

well since the 150 has coil springs, and the 250 has leaf springs, i will say no, they will not interchange without a lot of work.

80+ are the same, and 79 and older interchange, but with the 80 model year they moved the steering from behind the axle centerline to in front of it, so you cannot swap between 70s and 80s. The I-beams of each style can be swapped around into any frame of the era they fit, you can put beams from a 79 F350 into a 65 F100, or ones from an 80 F100 into a 96 F-whatever. It all swaps.

i was refering to the 4 wheel drive trucks. since i have never owned or seen a need for 2 wheel drive, i usually don't remember they are so different.

usually 1-2 times per week.
i work heavy construction, and most of the job sites i work are not nice to 2 wheel drives.

I too work construction. Concrete Construction, usually early in the process. IE: sites are very crude, and rough. Worse after We get done with them. 80K concrete mixers tend to rut things up pretty bad. I hardly ever use 4X4
