F650/750 options

I know there are dozens of ways to outfit a F650/750... so I'm looking at a 2000 F750 with a Cat engine...The current owner who is the 2nd owner has limited knowledge about it. Is there a fairly easy way to find out what the truck came with, the owner is no help and I'm not in the mood to send over a mechanic, Its just not that big a deal but I'm curious about the engine HP and axles...etc... any ideas?

the engine should be a 3216 or 3316 i believe it is.HP figures are around 210. as far as axles, you would need the info off the "B" pillar warranty tag to decode what is in it.

The engine horsepower is probably 210 and the axles depends on the gvw. In the USA trucks are spec'ed differently a F-750 around here would have a 33,000lb gvw and 12,000lb front axle and 21,000lb rear axle.

Because of the stupid 26,000lb gvw law in the USA you guys have trucks with light axles.

I bought the truck... figured a 2000 F750 with cat motor (43k miles)7/8 yd box pto and plow for $8500 was a steal no matter how i looked at it. found out the axles are 9k front and 21k rear. The motor seems to have tremendous power, but not crazy about the electronic trani... thanks
