Disc brake conversion came in today...
Manufactured by TMZ. Utilized Chevy calipers. Went on relatively easy, just need to get the calipers now.

Old nasty drums. Notice the shoes.... or lack of.

I have no doubt.

I've actually had my drum brakes stop working completely.. It kind of shocked me. I pulled the drum off and it was packed with mud. Took like ten minutes with a hose to get it clean and then they seemed to work again.

That is why you wash your trucks after you wheel kids.

Nice job. That uses the E 350 rotor. You will notice that these will require you to shave the top edge of the brake pad because the pad will not ride on 100% of the rotor. It is mothing to worry about, but the pad is only sightly higher than the top edge of that rotor. If you do not tapper the pad, it will crack as it wears.

I use the exact same rotors with my home brewed set up:

My brackets are only slightly different, and after some trial and error, (heavy on the error) i found that the spacer could be eliminated:

Yours looks nice though...........

Oh yeah.......Sterlings do break:

Just did that the other day........Doh!

Your looks great. Especially the fact that you built everything yourself.
I would love to have th eknow how to make things like this. It seems realatively simple know that I have it, but starting from scratch I could definatly see where it would be difficult.
And everything breaks eventually...lol. I'm sayin a prayer with mine, especially being welded.

Yeah, I don't think they should cost so damn much lol.

As long as you have a machine to make them, why must you charge so much!
(Besides the fact that they can.) lol.
