3 liters = 182 cubic inches.
How did you come up with that engine size? And...is it a 1966?
1961/65 trucks manufactured and sold in Canada only have a 15 digit VIN = example: 5991014L-123456A.
The engine size itself is not listed in the VIN, or on the Warranty Plate.
The first digit of the VIN decodes to either a 6 or V8. 1965 example: 5 = 6 cylinder engine.
There is a two letter code used for what size the engine is, listed separately on the plate = 1965 examples: SP = 240 I-6 / SQ = 300 I-6.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1966 and later trucks manufactured and sold in Canada only use the same 11 digit VIN system as 1961/80 US trucks = 1966 example: F10AC876543.
The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code.
A = 240 cubic inch I-6 // B = 300 cubic inch I-6.
------------------------------------------------
1961/64 223/262 I-6 engines: The intake & exhaust manifolds are on the LEFT (drivers) side of the engine.
1965 and later 240/300 I-6 engines: The intake & exhaust manifolds are on the RIGHT (passenger) side of the engine.

There is no such thing as a 3 liter 6 cylinder engine installed in any Ford truck...regardless of what year it is.

How do you explain the 1957/63 truck parts catalog listings for engine/trans mounts and etc. for 1961/63 262 2WD/4WD's?
I've decoded several VIN's/Warranty Plates for 1961/63 F100/350's with 262's.
Sales brochures are not always correct. Do you have the 1957/63 Ford truck parts catalog?

3.7L = 223 I-6. This engine was not used after 1964 in any Ford truck or car.
1965/66's have either a 240 or 300 I-6. The exhaust/intake manifolds are on the RIGHT side of the engine.
Idiot (Warning) Lights for the Oil/Amp gauges were standard equipment on all 1961/66 Standard & Custom Cabs, except 1965/66 F100/250 Camper Specials which came with Oil/Amp gauges.
Oil/Amp gauges were optional on all other 1961/66 trucks.
btw: Ford did not begin to use liters to designate engine sizes on trucks/Bronco's/Econolines until 1981.

No, I don't have the parts Catalog. I don't need a manual to tell me the sun comes up in the morning.
But if I had one, and it said the sun comes up at noon, I guess that would be right.

If the exhaust/intake manifolds are on the LEFT side of the engine, your truck is not a 1966, or a 1965.
3.7L = 223 I-6. This engine was not used after 1964 in any Ford truck or car.
1965/66's have either a 240 or 300 I-6. The exhaust/intake manifolds are on the RIGHT side of the engine.

that's a 300 ci six, a 240 is very similar looking.
(unless the parts manual says otherwise)
