non ford related fluid question

A friend of mine has a Jeep with an automatic transmission. It has a clear fluid inside. Anyone have any idea what type this is? Is it Lucas or Amsoil or what? He is concerned about adding or changing it and not getting it all out. I have never heard of this one before. Joe

How old? I notice that the red dye fades over time. If it is 20 years old and it has never been changed, it will look clear-amber rather than red but will still smell somewhat like ATF.
