Scorpion article in Business Week

Business Week has an article that tells how Ford set up the engineers "off-campus" to design the Scorpion. Not a lot of information, but a look into how Ford went "outside the box" to design this engine.

Interesting read. It just bothers me that nearly all the media downplays or ignores the fact that they though "Outside the borders" for the manufacture of the scorpion.

Is this plant in Mexico not the same engine plant that made the much loved 4.9L straight 6?

Don't tell anyone else either, but it has the highest quality rating of any Ford plant in North and South America too...

I believe that they were made in production volume at Cleveland and Lima. OTC service assemblies may have been made in Mexico.

I'm sure a couple hundred people in Indianapolis are real happy about the prosperity the 6.7 brings to them.
