OK, my wife just got home. I asked her how much we spent at OC last year for a weekend (saturday night room) she said it was about $120! I don't remember it being that much (I think she told me that is how much it was at the time) but I believe her (I am only authorized to make money, not spend it). So maybe $60 was misleading. I will look in to it tomorrow.

I made a quick call to the hotel and got a rate $149 for Feb 13th. She said if I booked now I could garuntee that rate. When next years rate become available it could go up and that is what they would have to charge.

I do believe that this is LOTS more than the original $60 you mentioned earlier. Most here prob will NOT do this trip. As I am on a fixed income, I can tell you I can't.
It was a great idea - maybe someone can check on OTHER hotels that have winter sales in OC and post the given prices?
