Got my Merc 8ba engine stripped and need to hot tank or acid dip and magnaflux the block. Problem is I have no idea where to get this done here in the Seattle-Tacoma area of Washington State.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Google searches suck. Help???

Don't know exactly but any good engine shop would be able to provide these services for you. Look in the yellow pages under " Engines, Rebuilding & Exchange".

 

Haven't been over here for a while! did you find a place to clean your block and mag check it?
hopefully you can or did find a flathead guru.
I just took 2 blocks to a basic engine shop and they totally missed a crack that was so dang obvious (once it had been cleaned) I don't even think they looked at it?)
I should have taken it to my regular flathead guy but he's retiring from the commercial shop and his access to their tank is I think becoming limited?? or maybe he was just so busy that the last one I left for him took forever.
