I am going to add an fm extender betwen my radio and antenna for sirrius radio, but im not sure how to get the radio out????

 

open the ashtray. with your fingertips, pry the bottom of the trim outward. It will be stubborn, but it will snap loose. Then work your fingertips up the sides of the trim, prying outward. There will be two more snaps to pull, then it comes right off. Work at it slowly. It will come loose. Have done mine many times with no problem.

Indeed....one of the simplest, well thought out set ups I've ever come accross. Not to mention there's plenty of room underneath for all kinds of aftermarket goodies. Well done Ford.
