My F-450 work truck broke down (melted the altenator) when I was driving to an out of town job,and we had to get it towed to a local dealership for repairs. While I was waiting there for it to get fixed one of the salesmen and I were talking and he just threw me the keys to a blue Raptor with the only option a moonroof and told me to take it for a ride.Man that thing was nice, a little heavy and sluggish w/the 5.4 but decent. The price was 36,900. I would opt for the bigger engine coming out though!
$36,900 is the cheapest I have ever heard of so far. Our local was 47k. I just watched a video of the Raptor on youtube and they had the 0-60 time around 8.5 seconds. I wonder what the 0-60 with be with the 6.2l?
I test drove one at the dealer this weekend as well. Seems like a stout truck to me. It was the orange model with about all of the options you could imagine/get including the graphics package. It was a really fun drive, I cannot imagine it with the 6.2. The price was like 43,500. I did think that it would be a little bigger/wider tho.

35" tall tires don't help with the 0-60 times... is there really a 6.2L coming?

Yes sir there is a 6.2L v8 gasser coming....check out the super duty part on the home page. It will give you some more info. This engine is going to be part of the F250 and F350 lines as well as the Raptor. Hopefully it will make it into the regular F150's as well although I have not seen any information on that. The 6.2 Is supposed to make it into the raptor in the 2010my so we shall see how that does. The numbers are supposed to be somewhere around 400hp and 400tq although those are not official as of yet.

Not much good to do work with but sure would be fun off road. Wouldn;t be able to get one past wifey for myself but when the 6.2 comes out and gives it the engine it deserves I may be able to get away with buying one for my eldest daughter and borrowing it
This truck wasn't built for flat out speed. Its suspension is probably the weak link in the slow 0-60.
