Those sure would look nice on my panel! Too bad it's so far away and my wallet is so thin.

Then it would be a slightly better looking "monkey face".

A 48-50 Mercury truck is the only kind of 48-50 "Ford" truck that I'd consider owning. The Mercury version is just so much classier than the ugly Ford brother's counterpart.

Now that really hurts, but I do agree that the '48-50 Merc truck is the most ornate of the Merc trucks. I would swap my truck over to a Merc in a sec if I could find all the parts including the fender, front and rear, trim pieces. I'd also have to modify the front fenders to accept the parking lights. The Merc fenders have a raised area for the parking lights.

I would swap out my 52 for a 48-50 Merc truck. There isn't much swapping to do on a 51/52 Ford truck to make it into a Mercury. Just a few trim pieces and you're done.

Matter of fact, I think that I have either a 51 or 52 Mercury hood side moldings. Just have to figure out where I put them.

Start a new post with something like "Looking for F-3 rear drums", if that's what you're looking for. I know there has been a few guys here who swapped out the rear axle in their F-3s with a newer axle. Maybe one of them still has their axles laying around. Also, since the parts for the F-3s are hard to get and also it's harder to find a set of wheels that aren't WM rims some have swapped in F-2 rear axles. The F-2s have smaller rear drums, which are offered by a few vendors for the '48 to early '51s.

Hi vintage tin. Checked out the picture of the front of your '50 M-68. Those fender lights don't look anything like a Mercury fender light. Do you fenders have the small raised area where the lights mount or are they modified Ford fenders ? Just being nosey. Thanks.

those lights were on there when i got it.they are merc fenders with the raised part for the lights.they look like clearance lights for a semi trailer to me,i would like to change them for something with a turn signal in it....i think.
