47 Ford 1 Ton - exhaust headers

In order to keep costs down, I've rebuilt my engine as stock. A nice, and reasonably economical upgrade in performance would be to install after- market headers and eliminate the cross over pipe.
Question is: who makes headers that fit the 1 ton? It has a larger steering box than the 1/2 ton.
Some suppliers don't know for sure but have offered to take the headers back if they don't fit.
Has anyone out there "been an' done it"
Thanks

Peter
