Maybe vacuum? Happened to me when vacuum solenoid casing broke, causing big leak.

Further on the vacuum leak. Happened to me when the "PVH solenoid" 'cracked' and leaked available vacuum instead of actuating front hubs.

Turn on key without starting. You can hear the vacuum pump running. Search passenger inner fender just below hood opening for this "fist-sized" solenoid. You may hear the leak as well. The PVH solenoid is used to actuate the hubs. I bet yours is leaking, like mine did. I would also bet that your A/C does not blow out of correct vents.

I think that only applies to the diesel as the gassers run vacuum right off the manifold.

I don't know what the OP has though.

Thanks for the reply's.
My vac lines to hub's are good.
I turned key on and listened under the hood in front of blower motor. no noise from vacum pump.
I heard blower motor.
Turned blower motor off.
Vacum motor started.Is that normal?
Checked dial positions and air blew out were it should of from the vents.
I had to leave for work and wife had to use the truck.I was CHICKEN to test 4x4 in case it got stuck in 4x4 with no time to figure it out.
Will keep you posted

It is a 7.3

Clean/grease your hubs if you haven't and listen for the click with the door open (transfer case)

I was just wondering if thatw as the case, seems that may just be another reason the Wee10 is more reliable?

Try and turn the hubs to lock manually and see if you have 4x4 then. I'll bet they are very hard to turn though. Replace them with some nice Mile Marker or Warn units and plug the vacuum lines up - problem solved!!!

My hubs are locked in the 4x4 position.(seized)
I checked out pvh selonoid. It appers to leaking down after truck is shut off.
Is that normal.
With dial in defrost(a/c) selnoid was quit one time, then moved dial to upper heat on chest and selnoid started pumping. It was slow to move from defrost to air at chest vents.
I'm looking at possiable pvh selnoid and clean/rebuild hubs.

The question is, with the WARN HUBS locked in 4x4 and in 2wd will there be binding of axle(u-joints).on hard turns/dry pavement. What is your input on this. Is it major binding or just slight.
My wife is primary driver and I would be locking in hubs in Morning if weather is bad. She would be operating 4x4 knob on dash.
Thanks for the input

Warn hubs will affect the u-joints the same as stock when locked. You can drill a hole in the recessed part of the dial and inject silicone spray to free them up but take them off first. I like the stock hubs myself.

So you should take them off first then drill the hole and spray silcone in the hole and work the hub free then take it apart?

I do the same thing for my wife. There is no binding when the hubs are locked in 4x4 and the T-Case is in 2wd. Replace the ESOF hubs, unplug the vacuum solenoid near the battery, and cap off the vacuum lines. You will be much happier - I am!!
