47?? COE cab truch

I have a 40 something COE cab truck and am looking for the vin# I have looked at the frame by the steering gear box. found nothing.
I have found a number on the bellhousing 99T 529108
or 991 529I08

huntress is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
That's the serial number. You should be able to match it up here:
Early Ford Serial Numbers For Cars and Trucks Manufactured for the USA Market from 1932 to 1953

the I is what Ford used for 1. I honestly don't know what the T is, but it could be because it's a COE? It is definitely 42 -47

There is a whole thread here about serial/VIN numbers that might help.

rainh8r is starting off with a positive reputation.
Some of the later 40's COE's (my 47) put the VIN on the horizontal area of the sheet metal "chin" under the grille panel. It was visible if you took off the grille and, while standing there, looked straight down. They were also on the center crossmember under the radiator (41) if you had the radiator mounted up on stands instead of a full lenght core support that bolted down to the crossmember.
