2005 Ford Escape XLT PCM problem

Hi, this distress call comes all the way from Ghana in Africa. I have a 2005 Ford Escape XLT V6 3.0 L. It seems 1 or more cylinders are not sprking. The coils are ok. The electrical wirings seem to be ok (did the continuity test). Now it seems its a PCM problem. Where can i get one? Can a reprogramming of the PCM help?
Anyone with any idea on this, kindly assist.

Hi, yes we checked all the coils and they all seem to be sparking except one #4 the D coil. Can the PCM be reprogrammed? Any idea. Coz its very dificult to get a PCM in this part of the world.

There is a TSB that was superceded early this year about spark plugs used generating RF and damaging the coil driver circuits in the PCM. Only a dealer can diagnose if your PCM has been damaged.

The proper spark plugs should have a "5A" date code on them.

switch the coils (and plugs) from one working cylinder / coil to the other to confirm that its is that the problem stays with the faulty cylinder.... and then you will know for sure that the problem is more likely in the PCM... before you continue your "hunt" looking at the PCM.... just for extra confirmation.
