2002 explorer transmission fluid leak (not from trans)
Hi,
I have an '02 explorer that is leaking transmission fluid. It is not coming directly from the tranny :-(
There is a black rubber hose that i believe originates at the transmission and runs up above the exhaust system very close to the bottom of the cab. I'm not sure where it ends up yet. It has a black plastic connection (2-3" long) and it appears to be leaking from this connection. The location is such that it drips right on top of the O2 sensor when sitting still. About 1 drop/minute.
Any idea what the hose is for? I though cooler line but those are usually hard lines. Any suggestions on a repair? There's no clamp on either side. I have not tried to mess with it yet as the exhaust was too hot last night to get up there to work with it.
Thanks
