I needed 4 - 7 lug 17" rims for my NTM 07 for winter tires. Found 2 local but nothing else. Found 2 more in Mississippi using the above link. $35 ea + $20 ea shipping. $55 ea was what the local yard had wanted for the 2 I got here. Hope that helps. Now I'm looking for 4-7 lug center caps to go along with the rims (places I bought the rims from didn't have any), dealer wants $36 ea, go figure.

 

I guess I really don't care if they are AL or steel I just figured the steel ones would hold up better with the salt and stuff on the road I can just sand blast them and repaint them every year to keep the rust down.

The AL ones corrode or that has been my experience

 

:-) I have a set of oem 16" alloys I'm about to post on CL. They're almost in too good a shape to use in the winter - but as long as they get used, I'll be happy. I'm all the way down in socal though. I suspect you'll be able to find something you didn't have to ship. My vote is CL if no one from FTE as a spare set.

 

Wagion, I have stock steel 17's on my '08...they do fit.

 

Yeah I have the stock 17"x7.5" steel rims on my 09. The change was going from 16" on the older trucks to 17" minimum, not 18"... 18 and 20 are still optional sizes.

 

if you are going to blow the big buck on new steel wheels, might as well get the 19.5" ricksons.

 

Too bad the older 16" wheels don't fit for you, I'd ship them out to you at your cost plus $11 and a cheeseburger. But these don't fit your truck.

 

I have a set of pretty rusty steel ones from my 95 with Blizzaks on em. Pretty disappointed that I had two good sets of tires on two sets of good (or decent) rims and can't easily use em on a SD.

So I am trying to sell the steel ones with the blizzaks and if I don't do that I will end up remounting em on the steel wheels on my 01 SD.

I did pick up a nice set of King Ranch al wheels on ebay, but they are going to sit until spring when it's time to swap out the Blizzaks.

BTW those tires are well worth the money, I learned that in a 2wd Chevy and won't be without em in the winter. Lots less white knuckles in the winter time.

 

I know this is an old thread but in case anyone comes across it while googling, I wanted to make another suggestion. EBAY. I bought a spare black 18" x170 8-lug steel wheel for my 2009 F350 SRW when I was putting together a set of winter tires/wheels. It was only about $50.
It is for sale now, by the way (since I now have a dually).

 

I have 4 17's and they must fit the later brakes as they came off my '12.

I use them for door stops and step stools.

Ive had a set of 7 rims with really good tires in the classifieds as well as c-list for a few months. a lot of folks want them but none are local. so the price of new ones from a dealer might not be too bad when you consider the hunt time your going to save, road trip time to pick up some from c-list, etc.
