fuel pump question

hi! i got a question about fuel pumps. its not about my truck, its about fuel pumps in general.

my question is, does the fuel pump operate faster as the rpm increases or does it stay at the same speed? if so, then i can just hook it up to a switch and to 12volts?

im building a AutoX nissan and im in the process of making a custom dash with switches for everything.

Automotive fuel pumps run at a constant speed so it's either on or off. The fuel system(pump and regulator) maintains a constant pressure across the fuel injectors and the computer increases the duty cycle of the injectors to deliver more fuel with more rpms.
