Lacombe 100 foot Shootout

The show and shine in Lacombe was a great success. There were approx. 200 cars/trucks. The weather was sunny, but a little windy. They had some preliminary runs in the 100 foot shoot-out on Sat. night with the main event on Sun. I stayed to watch all the cars go through once on Sun., but had to go home after. I saw some pretty wild stuff, like Fiero's (2 ea.)with 350's on Nitrious - this was a husband and wife team, and every year the wife gets better times than the husband. They among other cars brought the front wheels off the ground, but the best time was achieved with a (don't quote me on the car, cuz it's some sort of chebby-something) '68 Camaro with a 568 cu in. Imagine running 100 feet in 1.86 sec.!! :P later -Bill
