It came already factory installed in a sealed Kicker truck box, so I'm not sure what the back looks like. I just took it out of the cardboard and hooked it up. I understand what you're saying about the inputs on the speaker itself, I've mounted other subs in boxes.

The box has one set of inputs, which I assume then split off as needed. A multimeter hooked up to that one set of inputs reads 4 ohms. So regardless of how many hookups are inside the box the amplifier is going to see 4 ohms, right?

Might be over-kill but I believe in over-kill and allowing room for expansion. IF you have the space for it, and in the future may upgrade to a bigger system.
$195 for the Nine.1 Regularly $365.

"Please Note: The Pricing Offered Currently is Pre-Production Pricing. These Units Will Ship When They Are In Stock."

I poked around a bit but didn't see an estimate as to when they were going into production. Any idea?

The sub is 2 ohm, I'm apparently a moron when it comes to the multi-meter. Sure looked like 4 to me.

Anyway, I snagged a 500w mono Rockford Fosgate new in the box, not refurbed, for under $140. The test card it came with shows it at 542 RMS at 2 ohm. I hooked it up and it sounds at least as good as the MTX it replaced, but I need to tinker with the settings a bit to get it dialed in.

Now I need to get it permanently mounted. Its about 5" longer than the MTX and doesn't fit on my mounting board under the rear seat. I mean, it fits under the seat but the board isn't long enough to screw down both sides so it would flop around.
