May as well say hi.

Hey all, isn't anyone from south of Lethbridge? I'm in Coutts on the border(the town is a mess right now because of the new customs i recomend if you are traveling this way in June wait till like midnight to go through cause they are searching everyone all through june cause of the G8 summit in Banff). Man i wish i could go the Red Deer show, but since i am on a farm i will be busy in the fields. If i do go look for my truck i will most likely be close buy(details below) and if you are ever in the area and you see my truck its probably me, but it won't everything describe below cause everything but the motor and wheels (already on, if you have any ?s bout it ask away) have yet to be installed, i'm just waiting till school ends (tomorrow, can't wait!!!!!!!!)

Oh mil1ion i would love to join but i don't have the money right now (dad won't let me get a job cause he wants me to finish my truck and help him) but as soon as i can i will be sending for that t-shirt.

Be razzed about my engine???? Not sure why i would be as i am running a ford blue mill. It's a 351 c with the closed chamber heads, 4v intake, a bit stiffer cam with a 4speed and 3.91 rear gears. Biggest problem is DETONATION. If i really get in it, it rattles like a can of gravel unless i run a LOT of octane boost. (2 jugs of 104+ with 20 gallons of the best gas i can find.) Will not bring self to buy the racing or av gas. Went that way years ago when i was racing. Too many pennies for my pockets. Have been seriously thinking about running propane tho. Anybody had experience with this on hi compression engines?? Heard of a guy in Saskatoon that was running propane on a drag car. Never did find out the specs on the engine but apparently he was the track champ for a while. Later pops

I know a guy who is parting out a couple of that era.

I asked him if he will sell the whole truck and he said he would prefer not to.

>Hey Gorstep, think you got me confused with Mercuryblues,

Yep thats me, A little confused. Sorry about that 56 mercury. I know a fellow who ran hi comp 350 chebbie on propane and it ran great. It would barely run on gas.
Did you recurve your distributer? I had a 460 with flat tops and DOVE heads a nice cam etc. we put a slower vaccum advance and recurved the Ford distributor and that thing would move out .
We tried 12 degrees advance but 6 was lots.
