well i bought a 99 550 and well u can put the different cabs and stuff its all in what u wanna do to the truck and how much time or money to put into it mine has a pickup bed on it bud i had to make it fit. there is a few different ways to make this work and i will fill u in more if u would like. but the width and stuff are the same just different bolt partterns on the rims and the rearends are totally different and a lot bigger on the 550 milage wise theres not much difference just pay attetion to the gear ratio mine with a 7.3 and starand trans 4x4 gets in the neigerhood of 16 to 18 depend on how u drive mine also has the 4.88 rears with 225/70r19.5

Check out my photo gallery. I took an 02 F550 flat bed and converted it to a pickup bed. several issues to deal with. the frame on the f550 is different from the cab back. its also 4 inches longer, hence the need for spacers and custom mounts. 550's have much bigger brake rotors 15 in frt 14 in in rear . rear axle is a Dana 135. not alot of wheel options, 19.5s are stock. engine, tranny, T/case are all the same.

ok so theres not much rim options. there is a 4in gap between the bed and the cab? (if thats the case i could get 2 beds and get a shop/me to fuse them togeather and i get a lil bigger bed) but other then rims and custome bed theres noting to worry about. 18 mpg is wut i would like with 35in wheels.... u think i could get kmc to build me a custome set of rockstars to fit the f550?

Rickson truck makes wheels for the 550 in different widths. as far as someone making wheels for you, it only takes money, if you've got enough somebody will do it. remember the 550 comes with 4.88 gears, period. the only options are lower. I run a US Gear 2speed behind my 6 sp and the best mpg I can get is 14. but with those gears you won't have to regear for 35's.
