What kind of hitch

I've got a 1996 F150 that has factory trailer brake wiring, but I don't have a receiver hitch. Need a CLIII hitch. Found one but it's off a 1998 F150. Will this work with my spare under the rear tank? Thanks.

prolly not dude. the 98 has a completely different frame set up than the 96. i would think it would be way off. might could make it work with a lil metal fab work but if you have to pay someone to do that you could fork out the cash for the correct one for the truck. around 150 bucks prolly.

You can do some measuring, but it likely wont fit. I wouldn't mess around with trying to get a receiver hitch "cheap." Get one that you know is in good shape and designed for your truck...new ones arent that expensive.
