Wiper Blade Button, Lights Button & Radio.. How do they come out/off?

Just like as the thread name says.. I'm trying to get my radio and buttons off so I can get my instrument surround off so I can get at my dash pad.

Can anyone give me any advice?

Radio ***** just pull off, The wipers, at the back of the **** is a little slot that has a spring clip in it. Take a paper clip straighten it and bend a little hook in the end. Stick the hook in the slot and pull towards you and pull the **** off.
On the light switch you'll have to reach up under the dash. On top of the switch is a little button. Turn the lights on, reach up under the dash, depress the button and pull on the ****. Pull untill the **** and shaft come out. Now gently push the **** back in to turn the lights off. If you push too hard you'll reset the **** and shaft and have to reach up under the dash again to release it.

The radio ***** just pull off

the bezel comes off

There are 3 black screws that need to be removed in that area

The headlight switch requires the battery disconnected and be pulled out to hL on position
Then reach up behind dash and push the button on the side of the H/L switch IN while pulling the **** out

The WW switch requires a small screwdriver inserted in the slot on the **** pressing against the friction fit spring keeper while pulling the **** toward you.

I found this for y'all

For some reason, something is stuck with my instrument surround and it won't come off only near the radio side.

I have removed all visible screws, and have taken off both **** on the radio.

Everything on the left side of the instrument surround is coming off easily, but the radio side doesn't seem to want to come. There seems to be a few hidden screws somewhere.

Anyone have any advice?

Are there nuts on the shafts of the radio? Those will need to be removed

Yes! There are! Now that I take a second look, there is a nut on for each shaft!

Nice! hope this works!

EDIT: HOW IN THE HECK DO YOU GET THOSE OFF!?!?! Nothing fits! no wrench or socket will touch the darn nuts that are sitting on those shafts! What the heck?!

IIRC we used vice grips to get mine off, but i had new nuts with a new radio so it didn't matter to mangle them...

A deep set socket is extra long so the radio shafts will fit inside the socket without bottoming out, and it will reach the nuts. Once those nuts are off, the plate that surrounds the radio will be free. Behind that surround you will find the last two screws that are holding that instrument panel in place. You're almost there!

They could be 12mm or 1/2" nuts,.... the use of a deep socket and your fingers should be enough to loosen them.
You will have to unclip the light bulb on the back of the bezel left side as well

Thanks everyone for the help! It all came off! Finally! Yay!

It's great to know everyone's willing to help out on here, cause it really does take a toll on someone when they can't figure out crazy things like needing to push buttons behind a dash before a light switch will release.

Thanks all!
