Towing w/ 3.55 gears?

I'm pretty new to this site and am getting ready to pull the trigger on either an F150 or F250 in the next week or so. If I go with the F150, I am definitely going with the longer bed. Problem is, these are kind of hard to find where I am, and I can't find any with the 3.73 gears.

My primary purpose for the truck is daily driver, but I tow a 22' boat (about 5k pounds with trailer) 15-20 times a year for about 150 miles each way on fairly flat terrain. Will the 3.55 gears do well with this load, or should I hold out for a 3.73? I realize the towing capacity with the 3.55 gears is still way above the weight of my boat/trailer, but I was hoping for some real world feedback.

Make the dealer "source" the truck you want. They're readily available. I believe the new six speed witht he 3.55.1 axle will do fine for your needs but if you have questions, go after the the 3.73's.

you'll do just fine with what ever gears you do get its just if given the choice always go for the bigger gears and that would be 3.73
