07 escape 6cyl.

Problem........ When we mash the gas pedal down when wanting to pass another vehicle the engine revs,but we have to wait a few seconds before the trans. actually kicks in to passing gear..Any thoughts???

it sounds like its taking time to get out of overdrive. that's about all the info i got at the time...

Well,I know the problem now guys,,07 escape with 39,000 miles on it just SH#T it's tranny today.. Had it towed to the ford dealer will call them monday.....The way I read the warranty book even though the 3yrs,36,000 mile warranty is out, the drivetrain warranty says 5yr 60,000 mile,so we'll see how it goes monday,,My guns are loaded if I need them.......

We are still waiting to get the escape back from Dealer ,anyone know if ford tranny Sh#ting themselves is a common thing or did we just get a lemon??

07's are generally the year that went bad for fords trannys i saw dozens of them when i worked at ford in a span of 6 months

Do you know what caused them to fail?? After being replace or rebuilt will they last now or will they breakdown again?

i don't know whAt exactly was the the cause but usually the internal computer goes bad, usually once replaced the problem shouldn't come back
