f-600 cluster....help???

On the backside of my F-600 dash insert, there is a bracket that the wiper switch mounts thru. It has a light socket for the "wiper" illumnation, and, i'm guessing the light switch passes thru it as well. Bottom half is broken,MIA. Casting # on the bracket is D3TB-13B789-C. Anyone ever seen one of these? Or am i on the jb weld & metal fab road?

What year is this F600? D3TB is a 1973 ID number prefix.

Are you sure it's an F600 and not a C600? Does the cab tilt?

Are you sure the basic number is 13B789? This number is related to the dome lamp.

I cannot find this part for a 1967/72 F600 behind the dash or instrument cluster.

Thanks Bill..

Supposedly a '74 cluster. I purchased it on fleabay, don't have any idea what it came out of originally. The gauge housing itself has a D0... I'll try to get some pics tonight.

I had one online parts locator source down for maintenance, so it took awhile to discover the following:

Sorry, no Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Post a picture of what you have left of the bracket. The purpose of the bracket is to cover a little rectangular shaped hole directly to the right side of the wiper switch with a little name plate with the word WIPERS on it. The bottom portion extends down for the purpose of providing a spacer for the bottom where you can have another hole cut and put in another switch. I mounted my Fuel Tank Gauge Switch there in mine. I might even have another of these brackets laying around that is intact. Post a Picture or two of yours and let me see what you have. I can then tell you what you need to do to make it work...............

Thanks, Moto. I finally got the headlight switch & spacer out of one of the spare trucks, and got it mounted. A little grinder work on the wiper switch bracket, and some work with a unibit...now i have the headlight switch on the cluster insert as well.

Now i'm thinking about welding up the ashtray, and filling ALL the holes to the right of the column.....

Sounds good! I have an interval wiper switch set up in mine and then installed my Fuel Gauge switch below it. Worked out fine. I think the headlight switch would be good up there too........ These Clusters suit me to a "T" and for the money, I doubt they could be beat! Post some pics when you can........

Yessiree...!! You definitely got a nice one! These are getting hard to find and even harder to find in nice condition. I have one that I removed all the black paint from and also a black one like yours. I used the all Chrome for a while and then decided to try the black one about a month ago. I'm not sure what it will end up being, but I think I like the black one because I find the all Chrome one to be sort of "Pimpy." I'm thinking about getting some nice metallic green paint that would be complimentary to my Boxwood Green and maybe painting one like that in place of the black.....we'll see!

Oh, yes, I do have a NEW functional 8,000 tach that watches over my Stroker 460. If interested, I will tell you how to get one.....but very pricey. Just a Ford Nut that "hadda have it!" (See Below)

Like I said before, "This cluster fits me to a "T" and I think they fit the trucks even better! Oh, Starting from the top left, the first switch is an Interval Wiper switch, below that is the Fuel Gauge switch, then along the bottom from left to right is the Light switch, Ignition switch, and then the Cargo Light switch. Immediately to the right of the steering column is the Choke, then the Emergency Flashers, and finally at the far right is the Lighter. Moving the Fuel Gauge switch up above made the biggest improvement to me. Cleaned up the underside of the dash and I like it better. This is the interior of my '70 Sport Custom CS F-250. Ford should have made them this way!
