Any difference in '08 versus '09 6.4
I have an 08 350 powerstroke. Build date is 2/08. Friend of mine has identical truck and build date as mine and fried motor due to radiator problem. Was considering buying '09 if there was any advantages, improvemnets etc. Dealer said my truck has updates added but they're not to bright down there. Different story everytime I talk to somebody. Does anybody know if the 09 setup is better than the updated 08 setup? Thx

For the first year and a half us early '08 folks had to get recalls done for various things. You can see them in the 6.4 tech folder at the top of the 6.4 forum index. I would bet that the only benefit of an '09 would be that all the updates and recalls would be built in from the factory.
My opinion is that the radiator issue fried motors because there is not a good gauge set up on the dash and a low coolant, high water temp warning only comes on when it's too late and damage is already done. If you get caught not watching coolant level very carefully and consistently it can really bite you. Most of the radiator leaks were very small and slow, easily overlooked, especially if it's raining outside while it's going on.
