Truck looks sick. Keep up the good work. As far as Quality of the lowered goes. It is not the style of truck but rather the builder building it. I too have seen some work on air bagged trucks that I personally would not drive, but that same thing goes for the lifted crew, and mudders. I have both, bagged 97 ranger and a lifted 79 dent( under construction ). Been thinking of selling the ranger and getting another dent to slam on the ground. Your truck is inspiring me to do so.
thanks man they look pretty sharp setting low.. you gonna body drop it.. the next one I do will probably be stock floor

nice, i was thinkin bout tryin to shave the drip rails and cowl on mine too.....you welding up that cab seam too or just muddin over it
I welded the seam first. The seams looked bad on my truck i am sure they are the same on the rest as well.
the only thing about shaving the drip rails is on mine the door gap is large at the top of the door . if you look closely you can see it. I have not decided what i am going to do about it but I am leaning towards living with it

why not take the top of the drip rail, flip it over, and weld it back on over the very corner of the door gap? then smooth the seam and it will keep the water from coming in the the top of it, and itll still be really smooth, WHILE hiding the gap.

Yeah, It would have to be body droped. Thinking about using a 98 F150 front frame clip and building a custom frame from the firewall back. That way I would get sla front susp and have stock head room inside for a chop. Mini's are cool but they are very small. Only get to drive mine when I'm by myself. Two kids and a woman don't fit well.
I've been thinking about the drip rail. there's rust underneath the back. I've already removed part of it. I'm either going to chop it completely, or just leave the top, with a small bit of curve at the back, like the older Fords.

I thought about doing that That would look cool too. If I did that I would find the chrome trim for the drip rail and cut it to fit the modified rail that way it would stand out.

Sounds good, shouldn't be too tough. I'm gonna probably fill in the missing metal and paint it truck colored, or maybe metal flake silver.
Black truck, and I'm going with very little trim. I'm keeping full '73 grill with '78 bumper w/ bumper guards. Full tailgate/ rear trim w/ roll pan or style bumper (still looking). The only trim on the side of the truck will be a Ranger badge at the back, and an F100 on the fender. Push button door handles. Maybe wheel well trim....maybe. All chrome and aluminum is getting the dings worked out and it's going to be painted with silver metal flake rim paint then clear coated. I learned that trick from a local used car salesman. It's save you $hundreds$, and actually looks good.
i know a guy that can do spray on chrome. has it in all different colors too. like green, blue, black, red, purple, and of course standard chrome. says its pretty tricky doin spray chrome. you can see runs pretty easily. lol.

Just since I'm on here right now I'll say he has stock beams with air bags. To get the truck that low he body dropped it.
The only easy way to get the front down is with a set of dropped ibeams from djm or aim. I hope that helps.

Yeah and the good thing about the drop beams well the wonder beams anyway they are not made of cast so you can modify them if you want more than 3 inches. I think thats what Jamie did with his truck...J you know what I am talking about
I just did not want to spend the 600 on a set I am cheap that way lol
